Evidence of a rich, medieval artisan life is still apparent today in the streets of Tui . Butchers’ street, “La Carniceria”, was one of the most important streets in the city and led on to Tripe Street, “La Triperia,” with butchers’ shops specialising in tripe and entrails. Apart from its unique name, this Tui street contained the only recorded judaic butchers’ in Galicia, which indicates the degree of significance and integration of the judaic community.
